Application Instructions

The Foundation is not accepting grant applications at this time.  Please see "Submission Deadlines" below for further information.

The first step in seeking funding support from the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation is familiarizing yourself with the Foundation's mission, guiding principles, and grant making priorities. If, after doing so, you believe your organization's work aligns with the goals of the Foundation you may submit an application.

 

To Apply:

  1. To start a new application press the "New Application" button below. Returning users will be prompted to enter the appropriate email address and password for their organization's account. New applicants will be prompted to establish an account and password.
    We strongly recommend that each organization establish only one account. This will allow the organization to have access to all applications, reports, and drafts related to the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation in one location. Be sure to use an email address that is monitored and that a record of the appropriate email address and password is kept.
  2. Once you are logged in you will be able to access the online application form. You may also view and print a blank copy of the application if you wish to review it prior to starting. Be aware that we will only accept applications submitted online through our grant system.

 

Information About the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation Online Grant System:

  1. When you establish an account, an automated email will be sent to you with your account password.
  2. You will have an opportunity to review and print a copy of your application prior to submitting it.
  3. You may save your work and complete it at a later date if you so choose. The Foundation will not have access to your drafts.
  4. You may use the "My Account" button on this page to log in to your organization's account where you can access draft and submitted applications, listings of reports due and submitted reports.

Submission Deadlines

Applications for grant funding consideration are due annually by 5 PM EST, January 15th. In the event January 15th is a weekend or holiday, applications will be due by 5 PM on the next normal business day.   Our next grant application deadline will be 5:00 PM EST; Tuesday, January 15th, 2013.

The application form will be made available in the fall of 2012, in advance of the January 15, 2013 deadline.
